That "Warm Glow that Follows..."

Researchers found
that children at a very young age (before 2 years old) enjoy giving: They are happier when giving treats to others than receiving treats themselves; also happier after doing costly giving – sacrificing their own resources – than when giving the same treat at no cost.  As adults, we also feel what the researchers called, that "warm glow" that follows giving... We feel genuinely happy after giving, often more than after receiving. These tell us that that giving is a source of happiness that might have been ingrained deep in your nature.
Even the saying, "Money does not bring happiness", becomes untrue when it comes to giving. Research found that money does bring authentic and lasting happiness when wisely used to help others, to give to people and causes important to the giver.  Similar to the toddlers, in another study adults were happier after spending money on others rather than on themselves.
Of course money, or treats, are not the only things we could give to feel happier.  Your time, efforts,...anything you could give that benefits others, could increase your happiness.  Try it often if you need more convincing... :)
